Drug and alcohol addiction destroys the lives of hundreds of thousands of people each year maybe even more. With an ever growing demand for the drug it seems that the numbers are on a constant rise. Addicts are consuming more and more to keep their selves from going through withdrawals and finding that their lives are not as happy as they once were. A drug habit kept me from living a happy life until I found help through treatment for cocaine addiction. My life was changed one night when I overdosed and woke up in the hospital. The doctor told me if I used again I would probably die because my heart couldn't take it any more. I was scared at that point that I might die because I knew I couldn't stop on my own so I told my parents that I had a a drug habit and that I needed help to go into treatment for cocaine addiction. They were surprised that their little girl could even have done such a thing but, they helped me and paid for treatment. It's been 3 years since I went through treatment and I'm happier than ever!
